The AlgorX system provides the ability to create a backup of your Knowledge Base. You can also import the backup, if necessary and reload the current knowledge base if you are not seeing recent changes in the UI.
Click the Knowledge Base option on the Navigation menu and then click Maintenance.
Reload Knowledge Base
If you have made changes to your Knowledge Base recently and you are not seeing them in the AlgorX system yet, you can click the blue Reload Knowledge Base button to refresh your database.
You will see a message letting you know the request to reload has been sent.
Export Knowledge Base
If you would like to create a backup of your knowledge base, click the blue Export Knowledge Base button to start the export.
You will see a message letting you know the file has been successfully exported. You will also be prompted to save the exported file.
NOTE: The exported file is encrypted and not usable for anything other than importing into the AlgorX system.
Import Knowledge Base
If you have previously exported a copy of your Knowledge Base, you can import that file to restore your knowledge base to a previous version.
Click on the Browse field to open your device’s file explorer so you can locate and select the export file.
Once you have selected a valid AlgorX export file, click the green Import Knowledge Base button to import the file. You will be prompted to confirm you want to import the file and overwrite the existing knowledge base. Click OK if you are ready to import and Cancel if you do not want to proceed with the import.
You will see a message letting you know the file has been successfully imported.
